Following the success of Labour at the General Election, we are now looking ahead to crucial elections in May 2025.
In Gloucestershire, we have all-out elections for the County Council where we are looking to field a Labour candidate in all 55 electoral divisions across Stroud, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cotswolds and Tewkesbury.
The elections will be the first to be held using the new electoral division boundaries proposed by the Local Government Boundary Commission we expect to be approved by parliament in the autumn.
Labour councillors play a crucial role in representing local residents, undertaking casework, developing policy and holding the council to account on local service provision.
Being a councillor is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, serve the community and work with our new Labour MPs and Labour Government to deliver for local residents.
To apply to be considered to be a Labour candidate, please download and complete this application form and return it by 11.59pm on Wednesday 7 August 2024 to the South-West Regional Labour Party at southwest@labour.org.uk.
