Three headlines to consider before casting your vote
- British Steel has today been thrown into liquidation. The Government says there’s nothing it can do. Trade union leaders predict the ‘wholesale economic collapse’ of towns like Scunthorpe, across the United Kingdom
- Theresa May now bunkered down inside Downing Street, refusing to speak to her own ministers. It’s the endgame, and the Government is now openly at war with itself
- The Brexit Party maintains its ghoulish march, polling above 30 per cent in the final days. Farage’s ‘Vote Now, Pay Later’ scam is capturing the desperate national mood
Labour alone has a vision that can bridge the divides and begin the work of rebuilding our battered nation. It won’t be easy, and it’s not a quick fix. But a vote for Labour on May 23rd will be an affirmation of hope in a landscape of despair. One more step – towards a new social and economic contract, for a country rebuilt on principles of social and economic inclusion.
We know exactly what the alternative looks like.
Please cast your vote tomorrow for the many not the few.
