A council working to build a strong local economy that pays a fair wage for Cheltenham
Labour will press for and champion Cheltenham becoming a Living Wage town.
We support the payment of the UK Real Living Wage rate at £9.90 per hour across the business and employers in our town.
We want Cheltenham to achieve Fairtrade Town status.
We urge the council to support the setting up of a local Credit Union.
We would abolish paying for parking in Borough Council-owned car parks after 3 pm to allow businesses to compete with out-of-town stores and help the town’s early evening economy.
