Gloucestershire County Council
Gloucestershire County Council consists of 53 Electoral Divisions, 10 of which cover Cheltenham, represented by one councillor for each Division with the whole County Council elected one every four years.
The current political makeup of the County Council is 31 Conservatives, 14 Liberal Democrats, five Labour, two Green and one People Against Bureaucracy.

The County Council is responsible for services that include education, transport, planning, fire and public safety, social care for the elderly and vunerable, libraries, waste management and trading standards.
