Cheltenham Labour Party elects officers, co-ordinators and representatives who are the core team that contributes to and organises the strategic direction and development of the local party. We have an All Members Meeting structure, which means that our business is decided and managed at meetings that all constituency members are entitled to attend. Our monthly meetings are generally on the last Thursday of the month, which usually includes speakers and discussions.
The Constituency Labour Party (CLP) is divided into four branches (North, South, East and West) covering the 18 Borough Council wards of the Cheltenham Parliamentary constituency. The branch co-ordinators organise meetings, campaigning and social events for their area.
Other groups that meet regularly are the Ethnic Minorities Forum (EMF), the Women’s Group, LGBT & straight allies, and the Book Club. We often have a Street Stall on Sundays to meet and listen to people in Cheltenham.
Meetings, campaigns and social events are listed on the events page, and also sent to members by email.
